ROCHESTER DIOCESE
EVANGELICAL FELLOWSHIP

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching". - Hebrews 10:23

"He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'"  -  Luke 10:2

Together in Mission

We exist to strengthen biblical convictions about the gospel of Jesus Christ and to encourage its proclamation throughout our diocese. Our four main areas of work involve:

  • Uniting evangelicals of different shades who are share a commitment to the matters of first importance.

  • Encouraging all who treasure this message to receive it and communicate it boldly, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Resourcing one another to do this through events and sharing online material.

  • Representing the views of evangelicals to the bishops and diocesan staff.

Weekly Prayer

Each Wednesday morning we meet for prayer over Zoom. This online prayer meeting is our regular opportunity to pray for each other, the Diocese, and our churches. To join the meeting with the Zoom link please click on the button below.

Fellowship

We plan to organise informal in person evenings of worship, prayer, and fellowship within each Archdeaconry within the Diocese. These will happen three times a year, roughly one each academic term.

Learning and Growing

Over the next year we hope to hold several focused webinars drawing upon the many gifts and learning within the wider RDEF. As we move forwards we plan to organise an annual event where we can go deeper and hear from the wider evangelical family.

A Heart for the Rochester Diocese

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
